Born on May 1, 2133, Gabe Calhoun had a normal, well-adjusted childhood. He was interested in astronomy and space at a young age, starting about age 10. He would spend clear autumn nights watching the stars instead of doing homework. There were even occasions when Gabe would even miss meals because of stargazing. By the age pf 13, he could name most of the constellations in the Sol sytem. A tragedy in the family would change his future plans forever. His maternal grandparents died suddenly within a year of each other. Calhoun decided at that point he would dedicate his education and career to helping others and become the best doctor he could.
